At Epic Church in Palm Coast, Florida, our story is more than just a timeline—it's a calling. From a prayerful beginning in the 1990s to the official launch in 2009, God has been writing something truly epic in Flagler County. Today, we’re continuing to follow His lead by expanding our team—and we’re looking for a passionate, gifted NEXT STEPS LEAD to help us lead people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Role: NEXT STEPS Lead

This senior-level position is about more than programming—it's about spiritual leadership, vision, and impact. You’ll provide strategic oversight for all of Epic’s adult discipleship ministries, helping people move from first-time guests to fully engaged followers of Christ.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Groups Ministry

• Lead the vision and strategy for Groups across all life stages (men, women, couples, etc.)

• Develop and equip group leaders with training, resources, and ongoing support

• Build systems that help people get connected and stay connected

• Organize events that help bridge the gap between Sunday mornings and life in community

Baptism Ministry

• Plan and lead 3–4 baptism events each year

• Guide adults through baptism classes and preparation

• Work alongside our Family Ministries team for a seamless church-wide approach

Sunday Ministry Oversight

• Oversee key adult ministry areas like Connections and Parking

• Partner with our Lead and Executive Pastors to shape the weekend experience

• Lead and coach ministry directors for alignment and excellence

Teaching & Leadership

• Preach 8–10 times per year as part of Epic’s Teaching Team

• Provide pastoral care through weddings, funerals, prayer, and counseling

• Serve on our Servant Leadership Team to help steer the direction of the church

Who We’re Looking For

Spiritual & Personal Qualities

• A deep, growing relationship with Jesus

• Alignment with Epic’s mission, values, and theology

• Humble, emotionally mature, and relationally intelligent

• A natural leader with a heart for people and transformation

Professional Qualifications

• 5+ years of church leadership experience in discipleship, groups, or pastoral ministry

• Proven ability to develop leaders, manage systems, and lead volunteers

• Strong communicator, both one-on-one and on stage

• Bachelor’s degree in ministry or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Experience with Rooted is a plus
