The Aaron Hur Group and Centerpoint Church of Murietta, CA is excited to announce their search for their new Worship Pastor/Director. Centerpoint Church is a Free Methodist Church with a weekend attendance of over 2,300. Centerpoint Church worship style is contemporary with a live band and dimmed lights, singing songs from Hillsong, Jesus Culture, and Passion. Centerpoint leans charismatic, though they embrace the idea of being ‘naturally supernatural’; that means they embrace the fullness of the Holy Spirit, but try to avoid the specific stylized or fabricated manners of some types of charismatic or Pentecostal groups.
Even though they lean charismatic, they believe in a both/and approach. They both lead people to a place of real encounter with the presence of God, AND they create weekend service programming that will be attractional. Centerpoint shares the gospel in every weekend service and invite people to come to Christ, and they do!
CANDIDATE
The Worship Pastor/Director will spiritually and strategically oversee and coordinate all worship ministries and gatherings of Centerpoint Church. The Worship Pastor will take on the responsibility of guarding the spiritual culture and character of the worship ministry and its staff and support the spiritual health of the church as it develops disciples and serves the community, nation, and world.
The Worship Pastor's primary role is to oversee the Worship Ministry, but should understand that the church staff works together to accomplish the mission and vision of the church. The Worship Pastor will work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers (when deemed necessary and appropriate) to advance the Centerpoint Church’s vision and mission.
The Worship Pastor/Director directs the departments of worship and band. The Worship Pastor/Director is an on-platform pastor who will lead, direct and build all worship leaders and musicians. There may also be opportunities to preach occasionally. The Worship Pastor/Director will oversee, direct, and develop the staff involved in all Centerpoint worship experiences.
EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate for this position has an amazing heart of worship, coupled with the ability to lead people in a joyful time of praise to a place of holy encounter through worship! He or she is an upbeat, positive, authentic, loving, energizing, and inspiring person who is a team builder, a strong leader, a developer of people, and an effective manager. This person has a gift for providing creative vision, Holy Spirit-infused inspiration, and excellence in the implementation of worship during weekend experiences as well as all additional worship elements for experiences. This person is at home leading from a Spirit-filled place personally, in a charismatic environment. The right person will have a capacity for pastoral inspiration, and the pastoral heart to work with grace-filled and spirit-filled presence.

A heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation and the worship ministry. Reproduce yourself and train others to reproduce themselves by equipping them to do the work of ministry. Engage in tough conversations in a life-giving way so leaders mature. Create a culture of learning where leaders naturally grow and mature in biblical leadership
Organization
Ensure excellence in all aspects of worship experiences by maintaining working knowledge of church policies, procedures, and advanced professional skills to ensure efficient operations.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree with a background in Christian ministries, Biblical study, worship arts, or a related field.Theological training/seminary preferred.
